Severnaya Press is a one-person DIY fan zine press based in Florida. I make multifandom zines, print them by hand, and distribute them locally in Little Free Libraries — and digitally here!
I go by Yekaterina G. online and in print. I’m a writer, artist, editor, curator, and retro media lover with a love for science fiction themes, fandom history, and tangible media.
It’s a reference to the Severnaya base in the 1995 Bond film GoldenEye — my favorite movie. I liked the idea of a hidden, snowy place full of signals, transmissions, and secrets. Like a fan press!
Multifandom, usually science fiction or speculative fiction. Essays, art, fanfiction, collages, etc.
I usually include a rating. The highest I'll likely give is Readers Discretion Advised or Mature Readers Only. I will not currently do sexually explicit content or drawn/written gore, but I may use mature themes (mental health, divorce, violence, opression, dystopian themes, etc.).
Yes! Check the Submissions Page for guidelines. I accept art, writing, and more.
Yes — just don’t resell them for profit. I encourage you to print and share them for free. My zines are for everyone, and I do not take profit, so you shouldn't.
Yes! As long as it isn't a physical trade.
Not currently, but if you want a custom mini-zine or an event collaboration, shoot me an email and I’ll consider it.
